Verana, Boutique Hotel Mexico— Elopement Wedding Venue

TRAVEL JOURNAL

Recently I had the pleasure to travel to the beautiful town of Yelapa, in the state of Jalisco, [South Puerto Vallarta] and it was amazing! We stayed at the boutique hotel— Verana, which is a jungle oasis of its own.

What makes Verana epic from the start, is that it can only be reached by boat. From there, you are greeted and mules can take your luggage, and it is about a 15 minute walk up through the jungle, until you reach Verana.

The location is magical, features several palapas where you can stay, which are open air. As well as closed air locations. There are also bigger rentals, which have several bedrooms. Overall, the property can accommodate a group of up to 32 guests for weddings!

The hotel is under-the-radar, with a hippie chic vibe. The grounds are lush, and plenty. The views are magical, and you wake hearing the jungle awaken, and parrots fly by. The pool is nestled perfectly, built around a rock. The restaurant is delicious, with fresh meals made daily.

A wedding weekend would be magical to unfold here. Start with a welcome dinner to greet guests, next day a small elopement ceremony, followed by a relaxing post wedding pool day. Verana also offers mini adventures to explore the local land.

For those searching for a beautiful, off the beaten path (but still comfortable & luxurious) Verana is heaven! A elopement or small wedding would be absolutely perfect here, and the journey is as exciting as the destination.
