Let’s start with that this was my best friends wedding! We’ve been friends for over 10 years, since college, so this was so exciting for me- to see my best friend in love, marrying the man of her dreams in Mexico, with close friends and family.

What did you love about your wedding location venue and why did you choose it?
My husband and I were looking for an all- inclusive luxury resort filled with activities, entertainment and most importantly relaxation for our family and friends. We searched everywhere and could not find a resort that would give us the ambiance we were searching for. Not until a friend referred us to a beautiful modern resort located in Mexico called Finest-Playa Mujeres. The resort was spectacular, over the top, clean and well maintained. Exceptional food and a wide variety of restaurants and activities for the whole family. The staff could not have done enough for us. Many of them truly went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. We are so glad it was suggested to us and we hope to return soon. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone searching for a location.
What memory from your wedding do you remember the most strongly? Or what was your favorite moment?
I remember waking up the morning of our wedding and locking eyes with my husband- to- be. There were no moment of doubt or uncertainty. It was pure love and excitement. As corny as it may sound, I knew from this day forward, I would be the happiest woman alive. The entire day was filled with so much love and happiness. My favorite moment was walking down the aisle with my beautiful mother. I would relive this day every single day if I could.
What part of the day had the most effect on you?
Personally, the first look was one of my favorite moments of the wedding. It is truly the most intimate experience you will capture together. As soon as he turned around, I completely melted. My stomach filled with butterflies. Is as if we were meeting for the first time. It was magical. The first look really gave us a moment before the ceremony to appreciate and talk to each other alone before being surrounded by our family and friends. Most importantly, the first look gave us a chance to breath and prepared us for the night ahead.
What was your most memorable part of your wedding day?
The most memorable part of our wedding was the reception. I had felt a little anxious all day, in hopes that everything would run smoothly, but during the reception I finally started to relax. Everyone had such a great time.
Funniest moment on your wedding day?
It was pretty funny… minutes before the ceremony began, the officiator told my mother to stand and give her consent. He prepped her and told her when and what to say and what to do. She has it down packed, she’s ready to go, she knows her line and when the officiator gives her the sign she will be ready and say, “I do.” When the officiator started the ceremony, he looked at the crowd and the ceremony began. He begins his reading and says…. “Who gives this woman to be married to this man?” …. silence…. says it again, nothing. My mother was so focused on something else and forgot all about her part. It was so silly and so funny at the time. We all had a big laugh.
What advice would you give to future couples who are getting married?
A friend gave us this advice right before our wedding day and we are so glad we took it. Your day is going to be filled with so much love and excitement, it is also going to go by very fast. Make sure in the midst of it all to stop, find your wife/ husband, hold each other and focus on taking in the moment. It is the most unbelievable moment you and your husband will capture together and will remember for the rest of your lives.
