Known for its stunning beach views, Laguna Beach has become a top location setting for elopements and shoots on my end. I especially love the hidden little beach coves that have unique landscapes.
The perfect time for an elopement is spring and fall; summer tends to busy with beachcombers. The sunsets are stunning, and the beach is a perfect backdrops.
Some things to keep in mind— plan your date on a sunset low tide, so there is enough beach left for you and your guests. Also, sunset is longer starting April, another thing to keep in mind.
Obtaining a permit for a Laguna Beach elopement is fairly easy. You will need a permit for a small elopement, and it is fairly affordable; around $500 depending on location. Some favorite spots are Crescent Bay Park and Fishermans Cove.
Another hidden gem along the coast of Laguna is Crystal Cove State Park. It is just north of the main Lagune Beaches and is a state park. Due to this it also required a permit, more details here. A favorite spot is Pelican Point. I like the walkable boardwalk and it has easy access to the beach for bridal photos after, especially at sunset.
