Happy to say this wedding was featured on Junebug weddings!
Kate & Peters lovely wedding took place at the Kings County Distillery at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The day turned out lovely with all the unique details of the venue as well as Kates lovely details and jewelry. The day started out at The Wythe Hotel (an original Brooklyn hotel) with bridal prep and the ceremony/reception took place at the Kings County Distillery. The couple wanted their guests to eat well, so everyone enjoyed some Hill County BBQ; followed by dancing and the cake cutting.
Some notes from the Bride–
We wanted a relaxed, fun day so we opted for a more rustic theme as our venue was the 115 year old Paymasters building in the Brooklyn Navy Yard – which now operates as a whiskey distillery. We chose the best type of food for cooking for a large number of people – BBQ! All decorations were kept simple – burlap aisle runner, wood elements throughout the indoor & outdoor spaces including a handmade white birch huppah courtesy of the bride’s father, romantic muted-color flowers, off white linens, bistro bulbs, tons of candles, and of course lots of whiskey barrels. The dress was a simple lace sheath that the bride could easily dance in.
